The PEQ deadline is October 31, 2026. Quebec reopened its Experience Program on July 2, and this is the window to submit an application. With weeks left, the question is no longer whether to apply, but whether your file will be complete in time.
At a glance
- Deadline: October 31, 2026
- French: oral 7, written 5 on Quebec’s scale
- Fee: $940 for the principal applicant
Do you still qualify?
Only if you met the conditions on November 19, 2025.
- Quebec graduates: a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate, a technical DEC, or a DEP of at least 1,800 hours, obtained in Quebec by that date.
- Temporary foreign workers: at least two years of work experience in Quebec in a TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 job, by that date.
Which French results do you need?
Level 7 for oral, level 5 for written, on Quebec’s scale. It applies whatever language your diploma was in.
If you do not have results yet, book the test first: it is the step you control least.
What documents should you gather?

- Your identity and civil status documents
- Proof of your Quebec diploma, if you apply as a graduate
- Proof of your work experience in Quebec, if you apply as a worker
- Your French results
How do you submit, and what does it cost?
Online, through Arrima, the same platform Quebec uses for the PSTQ, which we explain in our post on Arrima.
| Who | Fee |
|---|---|
| Principal applicant | $940 |
| Spouse or partner | $201 |
| Each dependent child | $201 |
Quebec has set no limit on the number of applications in this window.
And after October 31?

The PEQ remains a program until July 2, 2028, but this application window closes on October 31. If you are selected, you receive a CSQ, and then apply to IRCC for permanent residence.
